For South Africans who stand all day

5 reasons to switch shoes

Nurses, shop staff, waiters and anyone whose feet are done by 3pm are moving to roomier, cushioned shoes. Here's why, honestly.

Reason 1: Room for feet that spread

Feet tend to spread and puff up a little over a long day. A wide, roomy toe box gives them space, so the front of your foot isn't squeezed by mid-afternoon. A bigger size can't do that: it only adds length.

Reason 2: A strap for the afternoon

Laces and fixed slip-ons stay the same size all day. An adjustable strap doesn't. Snug in the morning, a little looser at 3pm, snug again for the walk home. No bending down over sore feet.

Reason 3: Softer on hard floors

Hospital corridors, shop floors and kitchens are hard. A cushioned insole and shock-absorbing sole put something soft between you and the concrete, without the thin, flat feel of barefoot-style shoes.

How many hours a day are you on your feet?

One tap. It helps us point you to the right fit.

Shorter days still add up, especially on hard floors. If your shoes pinch by the end of them, room at the front is what to look for.

That is a long time on your feet. After hours of standing and walking, feet tend to spread and swell a little. A shoe with room at the front and a strap you can loosen keeps up with that, instead of squeezing harder as the day goes on.

Buying for Mom, Gogo or your partner? Do the fit quiz with their usual size. If it's wrong, we swap it for free.

Reason 4: A size swap that's free

Sizing is the biggest worry with shoes bought online, and wide feet make it harder. CloudStride swaps your size for free, once per order, and pays the courier both ways, however you paid. Plus 60 days to decide.

Reason 5: A local team you can reach

Plenty of South Africans have been burned by online stores with no address and nobody answering. CloudStride lists its company details on every page, and a real person answers WhatsApp.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Will they fit wide or swollen feet?

They are wide as standard, with a roomy toe box and an adjustable strap you can loosen as your feet spread through the day. If your feet are very wide, take the fit quiz. If the size is still wrong, we swap it free.

Are you a real South African business?

Yes. Our registered company name, registration number and physical address are in the footer of every page and on our About page. A real person answers WhatsApp and email, and we reply to every review.

What if they don't fit, or I don't like them?

Wrong size: we swap it free, courier paid both ways. Not for you: send them back within 60 days and we refund the shoe price. On top of that you have your 7-day cooling-off right and a 6-month quality warranty. Full terms.

Can I wear them to work as a nurse or carer?

They are plain black, closed at the toe, with a grippy, non-slip sole and a hook-and-loop strap. Many workplaces accept that, but dress codes differ, so please check yours. They are comfort shoes, not certified safety footwear.

Are these orthopedic or medical shoes?

They are comfort and support shoes: roomy, cushioned and adjustable. They are not a medical device and we don't claim they treat any condition. If you have diabetes or a medical foot condition, please check with your clinician first.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa. Most orders arrive in 2 to 5 working days, with tracking sent by email or SMS.
