For long days on your feet

Sore feet by 3pm?

Your feet spread and swell a little as the day goes on. Most shoes don't. CloudStride gives them room, so you're comfortable from the first step to the last, with something left for home.

Sound familiar?

Is this your day?

If any of these sound like you, you're in the right place.

The 3pm squeeze

Your shoes were fine this morning. By mid-afternoon they're pinching and you're shifting your weight just to cope.

Shoes off at the door

You kick them off the second you get home, and the relief says it all.

A size up didn't help

More length, same narrow front. Now your heel slips and your toes still feel squashed.

Insoles made it tighter

They added support but took up space, so a tight shoe got even tighter.

Nothing fits wide feet

You've almost given up on shoes that look normal and still have room for your feet.

Counting the minutes

The last hour of the shift is the longest one, and your feet are why.

None of this means something is wrong with you. Usually it means your shoes were cut for the foot you had at 7am.

You told us .

You're not imagining it. Many people notice their feet spread and puff up a little over a long day, especially standing on hard floors in the heat. A shoe that fits at 7am can pinch by 3pm, and that squeeze is a lot of what you feel by the evening.

That is why CloudStride is cut wide at the front, with a strap you can loosen as the day goes on.

Going a size up adds length, not width. Your toes still pinch and your heel slips. A wider shoe in your real size is the better fix.

Insoles add support but take up space. In a shoe that is already tight, they make it tighter. Roomier shoes leave space for your foot first.

The goal is simple: get to the end of the day without counting the minutes.

Morning heel discomfort can have many causes. Comfortable shoes are one part of the day, but if it keeps happening, please see a doctor or physio.

Comfort guidance, not medical advice. CloudStride shoes are not a medical device. For ongoing pain, swelling or numbness, see a healthcare professional.

Why it happens

It's not you, it's the shoe

Standing, walking, heat and long hours make feet spread and puff up a little through the day. Many people notice it most by mid-afternoon. A shoe that fits at 7am is squeezing a bigger foot by 3pm, and that squeeze is a lot of what you feel on the way home.

  • Feet tend to be at their biggest late in the day
  • Hard floors and long hours standing add up
  • Most everyday shoes are cut narrow and stay the same size all day

General comfort information, not medical advice. If your feet swell a lot, hurt most days, or one foot swells more than the other, please see a healthcare professional.

What you've probably tried

Why the usual fixes fail

Most people we speak to have tried at least one of these.

Insoles

They take up room

An insole adds support, but it also takes up space. In a shoe that already pinches, it makes the squeeze worse.

Going a size up

Longer, not wider

A bigger size adds length but keeps the same narrow front. Your heel slips and your toes still pinch.

Cheap comfy shoes

Soft for a month

They feel lovely on day one, then flatten out or come apart, and you are buying again.

The answer

Room where feet need it

The CloudStride Wide-Fit Comfort Walking Shoe is built around one idea: your feet change through the day, so your shoes should make room for that.

If your toes feel squashed

A wide, roomy toe box

Space for toes to spread, so the front of your foot isn't pinched by the afternoon.

If shoes get tighter by 3pm

An adjustable strap

Open it wide to slip them on. Loosen it a little when your feet have spread, snug it up for the walk home.

If every step lands hard

A cushioned, shock-absorbing sole

A soft insole and thick sole take the edge off hard floors, concrete and long walks.

If heavy shoes wear you out

A light, soft knit upper

Moves with your foot and is gentle on sensitive spots.

If floors at work get wet

A grippy, non-slip outsole

Made to hold its grip indoors and out. If your job needs certified safety shoes, check your workplace's rules.

Get the size right

UK sizes, wide fit as standard. Most people take their usual size.

  • Measure late in the afternoon, when feet are at their biggest
  • Between sizes? Go up. The strap snugs it in
  • Thick socks or your own insoles? Go up half a size
  • Wrong size anyway? We swap it free

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Will they fit wide or swollen feet?

They are wide as standard, with a roomy toe box and an adjustable strap you can loosen as your feet spread through the day. If your feet are very wide, take the fit quiz. If the size is still wrong, we swap it free.

Are you a real South African business?

Yes. Our registered company name, registration number and physical address are in the footer of every page and on our About page. A real person answers WhatsApp and email, and we reply to every review.

What if they don't fit, or I don't like them?

Wrong size: we swap it free, courier paid both ways. Not for you: send them back within 60 days and we refund the shoe price. On top of that you have your 7-day cooling-off right and a 6-month quality warranty. Full terms.

Can I wear them to work as a nurse or carer?

They are plain black, closed at the toe, with a grippy, non-slip sole and a hook-and-loop strap. Many workplaces accept that, but dress codes differ, so please check yours. They are comfort shoes, not certified safety footwear.

Are these orthopedic or medical shoes?

They are comfort and support shoes: roomy, cushioned and adjustable. They are not a medical device and we don't claim they treat any condition. If you have diabetes or a medical foot condition, please check with your clinician first.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa. Most orders arrive in 2 to 5 working days, with tracking sent by email or SMS.

R1 200 is a lot. Why not a R300 pair?

Fair question. Budget comfort shoes are often cut small and narrow and can flatten out within months. You pay more here for a wide fit, a cushioned sole, free delivery, a free size swap and 60 days to decide. If they don't work for you, you get your money back.
